Last post I was saying that once again my rear shifter on the mountain bike was at the point where you practically had to stand on it to make it work. I’d worked out an idea for how to fix one of the problem areas to see if it would help make the entire system [...]

Rode GCT yesterday. Just wanted to log some miles, no big thing.
On the way there I stopped at Addictive to ask about the availability of brake pads for the Tektro Aguira Compe hydraulic brakes on my ‘Goose. Pads are getting low, and those brakes have no pad adjustment feature. Grabbed some Addictive stickers as well. [...]

When I was a kid, and I actually liked baseball, there was a show on Saturday mornings called This Week In Baseball. TWIB for short. It was a simple show, with highlights and a voiceover, nothing fancy. I’m stealing their name for my new version of TWIB, This Week In Biking.
I had [...]

Saturday everything finally came together for a ride at Ft Yargo. The trails were closed til noon due to rain the night before, so I had time to switch the tires on the goose to a Nevagal on the front and a Dart on the rear. These tires were wasting away on my Talera, and [...]

Track racing is already pretty sick, but track racing on a fixed tandem? CRAZY. I want one. Someone is selling a Peugeot tandem on Atlanta craigslist today that is just screaming to get the fixed treatment.
Here is some vintage footage from the 1982 World Track Championships tandem sprint. Watch for the trackstand tandem style early [...]

Met up with Graham at Central Park(GA) to do a few laps of the XC course and check out the Jump Jam. Man, it was so windy. Almost too windy. We started off with a solid loop, skipping the Jump Jam action so we could get the days mileage kicked off. Central Park is not [...]

I was browsing e-bay just for kicks and got more than I bargained for when I found this ad for a set of Redline Flight Crank 401s. The seller used this picture to show the parts
Freakin hilarious.

Just a word to remind everyone that Reality Bikes is hosting JUMP JAM 08 at the Central Park (Cumming, GA) freeride/skills area tomorrow. They are doing a bike raffle, some jump clinics, and of course by the afternoon it will spiral into a full on one-upsmanship style session.
Graham and I are gonna cruise out there [...]
