Didja do a thanksgiving ride? Didja DIDJA?
I didn’t.
At the moment I’m just -less than stoked- about my mountain bike. The forks have always sucked. Now I have slop in the rear end, which, in order to fix will require more effort than I -should- have to put out. I’ve already tried contacting the manufacturer, who [...]

There are two things that are now dead. One is the auto-tune vocal effect in music. The other is calling your Thanksgiving alleycat Cranksgiving. What is there like 50 of them, all called the same thing? If you held one this year and called it that, congratulations, you came in under the wire. Next year, [...]

I think it’s pretty cool that the Gainesville Times ran an article today encouraging people to ride bikes even if it is cold out. Gainesville seems really supportive of bicycles. Too bad TDG won’t be coming through town this year, but if they do the Gainesville Criterium again, I will be on the scene for [...]

I know this is off topic, but I’m pretty stoked about my new desk scorpion. These things are found from time to time in the ofice where I work, so I decided to keep one.
Isn’t he rad?!

My strategy today was to hit GCT while it was still cold enough out for the trail to be frozen. Frozen ground = fast ground, but not very forgiving ground. Unfortunately, as soon as I hit the trail, I realized it hadn’t gotten -that- cold yet. I mean, it was pretty frreakin cold, but not [...]

from the ajc:
“Howard Rouen, 32, of Kennesaw turned himself in to police after media reports on the death of 64 year old cyclist John Wigren, who was hit at 12:18 am, Friday while waiting at the intersection of McCollum Parkway and Cherokee Street, Kennesaw police spokesman Officer Scorr Luther said.
Wigren was stopped in the safety [...]

My total mileage for the year is a measly 423.72, average speed 8.08 mph.
I could be kind of bummed about that low figure, but then again, some people have an mileage total of COUCH and an average speed of 0.

Ordinarily I wouldn’t post here in a biking blog about a dream that I had, but this one involved a bike shop.
I dreamed that the SOPO folks were still doing bikes, but they also helped people having trouble with their spacecrafts book passenger space on retired space shuttles NASA donated to them, which they launched [...]

The SE Racing PK Ripper is without a doubt my favorite bmx frame of all time.
I’ve never “clicked” with a bike so well. I had a waaaaay earlier version than the one you see here, which did not have cable braze ons or bosses or brakes, since everyopne used side pulls during my era. Heh, [...]
