Whoa! THOUSANDS of them? REALLY? What could someone have EVER wanted wit THOUSANDS of Positron shifters?
The Postitron system was on the scene for a while before Shimano came out with “indexed” shifting. The way it worked was by using a non-flexible single wire for the rear derailleur, which was supposed to give a more positive feel to your shifting by eliminating cable stretch from the shifting equation. The front derailleur was handled with a standard twisted inner wire. Although you can see numbered spaces on the rear shifter, the indexing was done via a rear derailleur with no return spring! The system also did not allow for the rear housing to be cut, so you had to run the length of housing that was supplied and that was that.
Good luck getting rid of THOUSANDS of these buddy…you’re gonna need it.
