After the excellent ride Sunday w. Graham, I followed up on Monday with the less challenging Suwanee Greenway. True to my suspicions I feel guilty if I go there without doing the -hard- climb at least once…so I did it, and ended up pegging 33.5mph coming down the back side.
At some point along the way, I decided that to rest my foot and relieve some numbness, I was going to slide it forward on the pedal, using the center of my foot as the focal point instead of the ball. This was a great idea as long as I stayed on the bike, but as soon as the ride ended, and I stepped on the ground, it was clear that it was a mistake. I basically bruised the arch of my right foot…so much so that I am once again walking like a duck.
The weather was so good though, I HAD to get in some more miles. Glad I did because today its pissing down rain

I want to learn how to do this!
